Hey, music lovers! It’s been a while since my last newsletter, but I’ve got some updates for you.
First off, there have been a few changes. The forums are gone. We tested the idea, but it didn’t quite work out. While there’s nothing inherently wrong with forums, they felt disconnected from the rest of the platform. The groups we already have are perfectly suited for what forums were meant to accomplish.
WTMO Records is also buzzing again! mr_melvis just dropped his third album in the Dream State series, taking us on another incredible journey.
Some of the work on upcoming releases will involve the original team behind the first albums, so stay tuned for that!
We’re also switching things up with our DJ sets on WTMO. Managing video content has become a bit overwhelming, so we’re putting more control in the hands of the DJs. We’ll create dedicated playlists for each DJ, and they can add their own videos from their channels to those lists. This way, I can free up some time to focus on my personal projects and the community.
On a more exciting note, the mobile app is nearly ready! The iOS app has been approved by Apple, and the Android version is next in line. We’re aiming to have both up and running by January 1st, 2025.
And finally, I’ve got some exciting news about a new podcast space. Over the last few months, I’ve been slowly setting up a podcast room at the old Fedtebrød Studio in Aalborg. They’ve been kind enough to let me use the space, so expect a proper setup for future podcasts.
There’s still a lot happening behind the scenes, and the evolution of WTMO is just getting started!
