Well it turned out to be the use.

When the melody starts the sounds begins to crush, so you might wanna look into that. The track structure wise is really good, I do feel the sound of the melody is a bit detached to this heavy beat. And I would fiddle around with it to get a bit more dirty sound for it. It feels to happy for this minimal tech groovve.

      You have really evolved here.

I haven’t got much to say the vocal can come a little up, and it is a little muddy. So a tiny bit up for the vocal, and have a look at how many things hat are busy in the 160-320 area.

But the track could be considered demo ready for a label.

I think it works great with structure. A few changes and it will be spot on, sounds are also good, but I’m having trouble getting into the groove when the bass is lagging. When that gets properly mixed in I’m sure its spot on. But sub needs to be fixed in the mix, not mastering. It can be done in mastering, But it will be 10x times better if it is done in the mix.

But the track is pretty good. I would maybe just go for a more simple structure for this type of music, with the approx 2 minutes start, the break, the main with 2 minutes, a small break, and then the 1-2 minutes out.

Looking forward to hear the next version

      Holy shit that was groovy.

Only thing is that the kick is a bit loud and the hi hats are at some places a bit to penetrating. But the sound is really really good.

Yes man. Agree with Ben that the highs are a bit pointy, so either EQ, or try clipping them, maybe the dirty sound from a clipper can add some fatness and bring them op in the lower parts and cut more in the highs.

      Awesome track 🙂

Damn this was awesome. The tilt problem is actually something I noticed we all do wrong in the mixing. The moment we put to much bass on, we cant go back. What I do is to lower kick + bass by -2dB before going to bed and save. and 9 out of 10 times, the bass and kick is more than enough in the mix. It will also make room further up the mix.

      But damn what a remix

Wow really like the low feeling in this one, it feels dynamic.

The bass that plays is a bit to loud to my taste, it moves the focus from the melody. Like always it is not much it needs to come down. And listening to the sound it got in the end, it sounds like you take some of the highs of, and it somehow fits better since it is less dominant, and you got the melodies for the dominant part.
Other than that the mix is really good.

And one last thing. Call it Midsommer. Just to really keep the Northern Hemisphere Vibe 🙂

My first thought was Lo-Fi, even before reading your text. But it could also be called chill-out.

The mix sounds rather good, it feels a little crowded at around 700-800hz.
But that’s about it I can say on the mix since the genre doesn’t scream for super clean sounds.  My only complaint is perhaps its a bit short. I like this type of tracks to minimum 5 minutes.. Otherwise I’m not getting into the flow.

      But super cool track.

Could be the saturation that is to much so its more distortion than saturation.

Well that added to the Lo-Fi sound of it. Remember some of the things we give feedback on are also our own preferences, its hard not to.I totally get that the kick can go deeper, but with this type of sound, it could also easily go to far.

Anyway my biggest problem is actually the length. But again, it is also a preference I got. I dont want to put a track on repeat, if I have to, then the track is to short hehe 🙂
