Now I’m thinking of starting to look for a label to release my album. Genres: IDM, ambient, downtempo. I’ll be glad if you recommend something. 🥰

Ben Hunt posted in the group WTMO-Track Feedback
Started working on this one over the weekend, recycling a dub sample from an old track that was consigned to the scrap heap. Bit tougher than some recent ones from me, but still at a respectable bpm. Kinda pleased with how its coming along, but let me know if anything stands…Read More

Only problem in that mix is the bass is too loud in the low mids. And there is no need for that loud of a top on it, I know its a huge part of the track. But they can come down a little since the rest of the mix is rather crowded in the low mids, but in a really good way. Your low mids/mids are really great mixed. So the bass feels a bit…Read More

Nice little vocal effect around :35
Agree the bass might be overwhelming the track a little but over all this is sounding great.
This progresses nicely over the track, I really like it.
The vocal in the drop with the acid 303 is slick
I’d say this only needs minor tweaks, I know you mentioned the snare/clap. I think this suits the track myself…Read More -
Agree with Piv on the low mids. I’ve been saturating bass for a whole to fill out that range, and found that using the same synth duplicated one octave higher does a better job. Vocal sounds a bit like Horace Andy, nice. I think a bit of call/response with the synths could help here to provide a bit more breathing room in the mix.

Cheers fellas, have made some updates here. Scooped out some of the bass around 200 – 200hz, changed the clap and made some arrangement and mix tweaks. Reckon its sounding quite a bit cleaner now, so pretty happy with it. Thinking it could be the opening track on my long talked about album which I’m aiming for early next year – reckon it sets the…Read More

So, a little more about new releases. Recently a techno single was released by the artist Seelenkodex.
The release is called “Train”. Basically, when I listened to this track, I had associations with how I ride the train to work. The track has a specific techno sound. Although the drum part is classic, I would say. The sound is technical, a…Read More-
Nice track and review. I would actually say 4:38 minutes is minimum for a Track, I would never release something shorter on My Techno Label. It’s not radio music 🙂
-
I often have 4 minute tracks, but often there are shorter ones. I don’t know how it happens, maybe because of the specific genre.
-
Nothing wrong with short tracks. But tracks that are for the floor and are to put you into some state of trance. Need more than todays short attention span. Techno & Psytrance under 6 minutes is what i consider lazy.

ChatGPT agree 😀
The typical length of a techno track is around 5 to 10 minutes. However, this can vary depending on the purpose of the track:
Club/Extended Mixes: Tracks meant for DJs or club settings often run longer, typically 6 to 10 minutes, to allow for seamless mixing and gradual build-ups.
Radio Edits: Shorter versions intended for radio…Read More
