Hey guys, here is one I’m feeling is more or less done but I’d love to have some outside ears on it before I do anything further. I’m considering sending this one over to Architect Records.

Maybe a little too much knock on the kick. could be just me though that are lost in psytrance kicks. Super cool track though, and the overall mix is really good, I just felt that the kick had some problems. I would do my trick and turn it one or two db down and go to bed and listen in the morning. That usually just let me have the kick at that db lower 😀

hi, all so brought the kick down a few Db as Piv suggested and also added a police siren the intro see what u think thanks a;l..T https://soundcloud.com/temple01/wealdstone-v45/s-b9O168yzBOH?si=18e5a32e91434c4281468907ef3d35d8&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing

AFL Three Beggars – Ben Hunt Remix
Here’s my first stab at a remix of AFL’s Three Beggars track – thanks to Tim for the prompt, I’d completely forgotten I’d downloaded the stems!
Nice and slow at 95 bpm, but hopefully still enough oomph to compliment the original. Think its pretty close but let me know if anything jumps…Read More

Thanks fellas, was a fun one to work on with all the film samples. I’ll do another ear candy pass once I’ve let my ears rest a few days on it, then hopefully get a premaster ready if there’s no other comments.

Hey all, it’s been a while. Really happy with how this Melodic Deep House Number has come along. Any and all thoughts are welcome.

Really great track.
A mixnote. Your kick is really heavy and eats up a lot of space in the mix. It can be turned down or as a last resort, turn the deep lows on it down with a shelf.
Other than that it sounds really good.
-
That did it. 6DB shelf, and make up the gain with smack attack to reshape the kick a little. Might do some more work to the vocals, and maybe add a piano under the main synth for color. Or, maybe she’s…Read More

Realy nice track Scott, reminds me of some of Hot Chip’s deeper stuff which is a big compliment from me. Only issue I found was there was a bit too much saturation on the instruments, seemed like you could tone it down on the bass and leads for a cleaner sound – got particularly noticable around 2:40 ish, just felt like everything could be dialed…Read More

So much better. Melodic Techno is not kick focused, its just there making the groove. 🙂 This is by far the best you have made. The saturation Ben is talking about seems right. Do you open a filter a bit that makes your saturation sound more dominant, Now I didn’t notice it on first run. Maybe because I listen on speakers. Second time I noticed…Read More

I know what you mean about headphones vs speakers. Definitely more noticeable on the cans than monitors or hifi. Will see what reducing the saturation a bit does.

Took 7DB shelf out of the bassline too. Reduced the saturation and filter cutoff of the main synth to open the mix up. Added a vocoder to the vocal which found it being way more in-line with what I’d originally had in mind. Thanks for the feedback, made a big difference.…Read More
