I’d love to play around with these stems when you’re finished. I’m getting some dnb vibes.

      I dig this Scott.

For the melody thing you could try dropping the octave by 1 to see if that suited the vibe. I think it’s sounds great as it is, it’s kind of this juxtaposition with the other sounds.

Otherwise nothing else really sticks out to me, I put this on in my headphones and for the longest time just vibed to the beat.

      Good stuff!

Oh I like that little vocal cut and ping pong perc right off the bat.

Oh wow, that moment at 1 min when it all comes together, beautiful.

All the sounds are perfect in this, nothing is really sticking out to me at all, it’s a gorgeous track.

Breakdown at 1:43 is excellent, nice build up out of it.

      Great track Ben

Alright, here is what I think will be the final version.

Hoping to send this one over to Piv along with another new one asap.

Here is a new revision on this. I can’t recall all the changes but I know I dropped the snare a couple db as this was a part of the build up in the problem frequencies and did some eq work on other parts to help address this as well. Tried raising that shaker counter rhythm too.

I will take a look at this, it’s sometimes hard to catch those nasty freqs in my headphones but I did notice it a bit “piercing” when listening on speakers, appreciate that!

Oh that bassline is dope! I really like the groove of the beat/bassline together, super funky feel to it.

The addition of the Reese bass is great. There is a sort of triplet hat that starts at 1 min that sort of takes me out of the groove, imo a standard “up” open hat would fit nicely and keep the driving feel of the track. Maybe the triplet could work for a short build up time before the open hat style?

I LOVE the pad. Gives it a nice change to the vibe for a few bars.

Lovely breakdown, with the pad and the reese. Great choice.

      Overall fantastic track man

Thanks Piv! I am just uploading a new version now. I dropped the sub by 2db and fiddled with some saturation and placement of the other elements and I think everything pops better now.

Thanks @schepperz! I have noticed the bassline subdues everything else myself.

I’ll work on that for rev 3. 😎
