Hey all so had been doing this track a while and was getting no-where then revisited it changed up the bass lines and practically the rest followed i already had the structure of the drums in place etc.. this being a Bass House number hopefully to submit over with the last house track i did a while back your thoughts and feedback as always a help and appreciated thanks.T
Sounds cool Tim, vocal chops are great as always, and that sped up build to the drop is fierce! I found the drums were a little sharp in the highs for my taste, felt like a few of them could be tamed, but otherwsie nothing really stood out. Solid work once again.
Thanks Ben will have a play about on those highs I think I used a few DNB techniques on the drums regards the mixing to experiment but maybe it’s over cooked the high end for this style thanks buddy
Yes man. Agree with Ben that the highs are a bit pointy, so either EQ, or try clipping them, maybe the dirty sound from a clipper can add some fatness and bring them op in the lower parts and cut more in the highs.
Oh that bassline is dope! I really like the groove of the beat/bassline together, super funky feel to it.
The addition of the Reese bass is great. There is a sort of triplet hat that starts at 1 min that sort of takes me out of the groove, imo a standard “up” open hat would fit nicely and keep the driving feel of the track. Maybe the triplet could work for a short build up time before the open hat style?
I LOVE the pad. Gives it a nice change to the vibe for a few bars.
